Andrew McCoy

From The Forest Republican, Tionesta, PA, Wedesday, March 29, 1893:

Andrew McCoy, one of the highly esteemed citizens of Harmony township, died at this home, near Neiltown, on the 17th inst., after an illness of several weeks from rheumatism. Mr. McCoy was born in Westmoreland County, this State in 1823. and was therefore in his 70th year at the time of his death. He came to this county in 1868, and has been a resident here ever since. He was a veteran of the late war, and was buried with military honors, the Grand Army Post of Tidioute, where the interment took place, having chare of the funeral. Besides a wife and four children, one son and two daughters, he leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his death.

Errata correction The Forest Republican, Tionesta, PA, April 5, 1893:

-In the item noting the death of Mr. Andrew McCoy, of Harmony Township, recently, we erred in saying he left three daughters and one son. It should have been reversed- three sons and one daughter.
